Golden Boot: Devon Torgerson

The golden boot, also known as the Offensive Player of the year award, goes to Sophomore Captain Devon Torgerson. Devon was truly a force to be reckoned with and was the focal point of the Pirate offence this past season, and was the leading scorer in the drought ending win against Fridley. Her efforts earned her both All-Conference honors and a nomination for All-State.

Ms Defense: Abby Safak

Ms Defense aka Defensive Player of the Year goes out to freshman defender Abby Safak. Abby was a fearless defender for the Pirates and was a pinnacle member of the Pirates backline. One of those rare players that can play just about anywhere and dominate. Her effort and athleticism earned her an All-Conference honorable mention.

Pirate Award: Marisol Hernandez-Vazquez

The Pirate aka the Teammate, spirit, and/or effort award, goes out to freshman Marisol Vazquez. Though new to the program this year, Marisol was one of the hardest working players on the team. Always one of the first to come and last to leave. No matter how things were going, or what she was going through, never failed to build-up and encourage her teammates and keep the pirates fighting.

Brickhead Award: Mawata Kamara

The Brickhead aka the Header award goes out to sophomore captain Mawata Kamara. MK was never afraid of a challenge or trying something new. No matter where she was put or what it was, she was going to go out and give it everything she had to dominate. Her effort and leadership earned her a nomination for captain at the midpoint of the season.

Pirate Prodigy: Gabriella Becerra-Medel

The Pirate Prodigy aka Rookie/Underclassmen of the Year Award goes to freshman Gabriella Becerra-Medel. Gabby is one of those rare underclassmen with a work ethic and dedication to match her potential. She was easily one of the hardest working young players in the program. Even after suffering a season ending injury, she never failed to come to practice and games to build-up her teammates, pick them up while they were down, or to hold them accountable when they were out of line.

Most Improved: Daisy Arias-Moreno

The Most improved Award for this season goes to junior midfielder Daisy Arias-Moreno. Daisy was one of the hardest working players on the pirate roster. Though only her second year with the program, went from being a JV player to a key member of the Varsity offense by the end of the year, including nearly scoring the game clinching goal in the pirates drought ending win against Fridley. Her Efforts earned her a nomination for Captain for her upcoming 2022 senior season.

Coach's Award: Kennedy McNamer

The 2020 Coach's award was given by Head Coach Chris Crumpton to freshman midfielder Kennedy McNamer. Kennedy is one of the players whose work ethic, passion for the game, and desire to play is infectious and makes a coach want to coach. No matter the day she was having, pain she was in, or the frustration that she felt, Kennedy wanted to be on the field by any means necessary. Her efforts quickly made her one of the primary distributors of the Pirate Offense.
